Master Asylum

Just got done painting the bedroom - - I must say, it's awesome!

Color? Technically it's called "Pacific Breeze" it's a soft green - - very mellow and calming - - after the fact I realized it should've been called "Elementary School Nurses Office" or possibly "Mental Hospital" - - I like it, it feels like home.

I have the bedding but still need to purchase an area rug (next payday) so I'm holding out on putting the bed together until I can get the rug down & get the room complete. Until that time we have a mattress on the floor in this stark green room, all we're missing are a couple of "sleeping-jackets".

Once it's all beautiful I'll get some pics up.

If anybody is interested I have a red & gold 1880's whorehouse style king size ensemble - - add some tassels and you'd be all set. Free for the taking! Disturbing, I know. Even more disturbing is that Ben really likes it.

My new profile pic is Grandma Smith. She was the bomb.

It's hard to believe that she was just 40 (a year younger than me now!~) when I was born. I could be a granny - -yikes!

I always thought it was cool that mom was 20 years older than me and grandma was 20 years older than her - - thought it woulda been great to carry it on.

But - - Holy Moly if I had married the boy I liked when I was 18-19 I would have missed out on so much.

Not to say I don't have some regrets, a more traditional family has an appeal. But now instead of having a couple of my own kids to take care of me when I get old, I have all these neice/nephews/cousins that I hope as long as I spoil them enough they will love and take care of me when I'm old - - just kidding!! (I'm counting on Ben & Josh to take care of me when I'm old!)

Alright smartypants! Yes, Chronicling (?) does require more than 1 sentence once a month. Honestly though, my life in not that exciting!

Never fear I am not jumping ship. . . . yet.

I am so excited that my little sweet pea Sami Sue is coming to visit.

I can't wait to snuggle that sweet little girl.

I love following her mommies blog and watching her grow - - I gotta tell ya I think she's gonna be a diva. Diva in a good: I'm cute, confident and don't follow the pack way - - Not the: I'm a "Barbie" give me, give me, give me Diva (thank god!)

Thought I'd throw in a picture of my little girl to round out my post. She's not as cute as Sami but I'm counting on NO backtalk - which I'm not sure can be said of ANY furless children!
